About Me

I’m a freelance Web Content Manager/Social Media Specialist/Writer with a background in the entertainment business – both working within it and writing about it.

I spent many years in the Hollywood trenches including management, production, promotions, and creative advertising before suffering a quarterlife crisis and leaving the business to get a Master’s Degree in Media Studies.  I reinvented myself as a web producer and writer covering new media and television, as well as a writer of marketing materials and general web and mobile application copywriting.

I quickly transitioned to website producer and content manager for a company that produces official celebrity websites, where I oversaw the production of the sites from start to finish, as well as wrote and edited the pages, monitored the forums, set up the clients on social media networks, monitored all the networks if needed, and functioned as the single point of contact.

I'm currently a freelance  social media manager where I develop social media strategy, conduct blog research and outreach (using best practices), maintain Facebook, Twitter, and Ning accounts, and generally help create and maintain the “buzz machine” for my clients.

In addition to my web, social media, and writing work, I’m the co-host of the entertainment podcast ShowbizSandbox.com.
